After a lengthy recovery from a knee injury, I was finally able to get back on the hiking trail this summer. It was only for an overnight jaunt up the Pine River Trail in Colorado's Weminuche Wilderness, but it was enough to build my confidence that I can still shoulder a pack and go for a walk in the woods. I have hiked this area of the wilderness in the past and it was great do it again. Plan do more in the future. The trail is near Lake Vallecito (close to Durango). I have posted some photos on webshots.com if anyone is interested in checking them out.

Cool. The Weminuche has some of the best hiking anywhere. The views are outstanding.

Thanks for posting. The San Juans are the best mountains in Colorado.

My pleasure Mags. Would have to agree, although I have not see as much of them as you. Hopefully can make more trips out that way in the not so distant future. Durango is great area for rafting and day hiking as well.
