WHAT: A camping, hiking, kayaking get together in Florida.
WHO: Anyone who wishes to come.
WHERE: Juniper Springs Recreation Campground, Hwy. 40 East of Ocala, FL.
WHEN: Friday, November 16th thru Sunday, November 18th.
DETAILS:
We have reserved campsites at Juniper Springs. You may hook up with someone on the same campsite if you pay half the cost of the site. There are some spots left.
We are going to camp, hike, and kayak the Juniper Run, eat, drink and be merry.:banana
This is a chance for us all to meet and swap stories. We would also like it if you could bring gear to swap, sell or show. Some of us are new and would like to check out different gear.
If you wish, read all 6 pages of the FL Fall Gathering topic if you want more details. It got too long for anyone to figure out what was going on.

Ok so I was thinking about coming, but I don't kayak... So that's part of the travel plans? Or just a day activity on the side?

Not part of the travel plans. Some will kayak the Juniper Run on Saturday, others of us prefer to hike. I was thinking maybe we could do the Pat's Island loop for a short hike, then anyone who wants to hike longer could just walk the FL Trail back to camp. Others may just sit round and enjoy camp, or the pool, nature trail, springs, etc.

Plenty of those in Juniper Springs Run! I'm going to try and make it if I'm progressing well on my thru hike. If not, and I'm close to a road someone is traveling, maybe I could bum a ride.
