Can anyone recommend any good hikes near Bloomsburg?
Just north of Bloomsburg is Loyalsock Trail http://www.lycoming.org/alpine/ Old Loggers Path http://www.dcnr.state.pa.us/forestry/hiking/logger.aspx and more, actively discussed on http://forums.backpacker.com/eve/forums/a/frm/f/682107219

Which Bloomsburg? There are 2.
For the one on I-80, check out this site (http://www.thealleghenies.com/about.aspx)

Without question, the Old Loggers' Path is a good weekend.
A little further away are two loops of the Chuck Keiper Trail; the East loop is nicer (and easier).

There have been several threads on PA hiking this year that mention these and others nearby.
Boy, ya gotta scratch pretty hard to find the country road intersection called "Bloomsburg" in Bern Twp., Berks County, SW of Leesport. But it is closer to the A.T....
In the autobiography of Mother Jones she said she went to a coal miners' strike victory party in "Bloomsburg" when she meant Blossburg. Better hiking in Blossburg IMHO. :)

I used to confuse the 2 until I found out my wife had relatives there (Blossburg) 10 years ago.
