Just ordered the Duo from Six Moon designs. I have been going back and forth between this and the Big Sky Revolution but finally decided to go with the Duo. I have a Europa 05 now and am pretty pleased with it but wanted something a little more roomy when my wife and 85 ilb.Flat Coated retriever go with me. I was concerned about weight and the fabric with the Revolution. Did I make the right choice?

I know two folks that have the Duo and love em. You can have 4 persons playing cards in the dang thing....it's huge. I do not recall seeing the Big Sky Revolution.

I have the Lunar Solo-E and find it to be my best tent yet. Six Moons seems to put out a great product.

Considering all the bad things that I have heard about Big Sky and thier difficulty fullfilling orders, I would say you made the right choice.

I've never seen a "Big Sky" tent in the flesh. But I've read lots and lots of horror stories about unfulfilled orders for "Big Sky" tents.

Hello Chin Music,
In regards to your Lunar Solo-E have you had any issues with condensation?

re Lunar Solo-E and condensation:

I had my daughter using it during a high humidity night in WV. She reported condensation, but it was livable. I have only had the occasional minor condensation. If I were taller it might be more of an issue. I can see that if one were well over 6-ft tall, that your feet and head may come into contact with the condensation. I am 5-10 and just fit without touching the tent.

Thanks guys, I should have it by next week. I will post a review once I use it. Being 6 foot 3, length is always an issue in a tent for me. This one looks plenty tall and long. I hope the condensation is controlable and I think it will be. Probably similar to my Europa 05.

Just got the duo and set it up. It is huge! I had to play with the set up a little but not bad. I really like the feel and the room. Can't wait to use it first week in November in the North Georgia mountains.

Lots of condensation in the Lunar Solo E on trail in March. Had ice in my hair in it several nights when I got myself squished in a corner. :)

Be sure to Sil the floor; It's slippery.

How tall are you Smile? I'm 5-10 and manage to just stay away from the sides. I would not rec the Lunar Solo-E to anyone over 6-2 (maybe 6').

The floor IS slippery but I have not placed Sil on it yet. I have noticed I slide away from ideal when the site is not perfectly flat.

Used the Duo for the first time on the foothills trail on the Chatooga River this weekend and it was awesome. I can't believe the space for the weight. A little condensation the first night as there was no air stirring and was in the upper 30s. The second night I had a breeze and even with both doors shut and sharing the tent with an 85 pound Flatcoated Retriever there was no condensation at all. All in all I'm very satisfied with this tent and would recommend it.
