I am about 200 miles from the nearest outfitter and would like to know if anyone has used Peak one pack from coleman. It weighs about 3.5 lbs. and has about a 4200 capacity. There is also a new pack from coleman called the exponeit (may be spelled wrong). I think these are fairly inexpensive packs but seem to be the right size for me. Can anyone help with this.

If you can put all your stuff in it, climb a few mountains and it feels good on your back, it's the right pack for you. It's very hard to tell until you try.

Ive had a Coleman Exponant Flex daypack for about 3 years now and I use it alot!! It still looks like new(If you dont count the dirt!) Its an excellent pack!! The Exponant rush and a couple others are just larger versions of the Flex So they are more than likely good packs!! Streamweaver

i've got a coleman ram flex plastic frame attached to an old ALICE pack. i love it. one shoulder strap broke. i wrote to coleman. they sent me a whole set of straps and a hip belt free! they had some left in inventory. great folks.
