You know you're a little dull when...

My first stove attempt based on Skidsteer's Two Speed/PMS boiled water in about 6 minutes on 20ml of denatured. Burned in total for 7 minutes. Made up a bunch of different centers to try out.

It kind of sounded like the denatured was boiling throughout the burn. Any thoughts on this?

What exactly does the bottom of the coors can inside the cat food can do? I've been making them without the coors can. I guess I'll get some coors, go home and experiment, but there's a decent chance I'll have to empty the contents of at least three or four cans to get it right. Oh well I guess that's the price I'll have to pay.

Wow. I've loved my Jetboil since the first day I got it. I never saw the draw of the alcohol stoves, other than the obvious weight difference. But I get it now. The quest for a "sweet flame pattern" has now begun in my life. Wish me luck fellas.

It helps with consistency and effeciency by slowing the burn somewhat so it doesn't run wild.

If you can find Michelob Ultra in the 10 ounce cans you won't have to cut the slits to fit it in. It's a perfect fit.

Good Luck!

Especially if you're married.
