I’m building a stove very similar to the WoodGas http://www.woodgas-stove.com/ (http://www.woodgas-stove.com/) And I want to use a computer fan blade. I have a 3-volt motor and have torn apart a 3-inch computer fan and adapted it to fit the motor shaft. It works great and moves a lot of air, I may have to drop the voltage down to 1.5-volts because it moves so much air. But my question is “do you think the plastic fan blades will handle the heat?” The stove has the fan set up like the WoodGas & the Zip Stove with the fan below the combustion chamber. I would think as long as the fan is running it will always have fresh, cool air to keep it cooled down. But I’m not sure. Have any of you tried this and did the fan hold up?

PS I just found this site a few weeks ago, it’s a great site with lots of helpful people that know more then I ever will.
