there's a few inches of snow in the higher elevations. go for it. long range weather looks pretty good
When you get into town, drop on by the house. 204 Douglas Dr, two houses before Cowboy's the Exxon station right on the trail after the Subway and Dot's.
What day do you plan on arriving so I will know. Perhaps I will have that day from work and I can offer you a warm meal, some coffee, or a shower if you need it. At no cost will it be either.........

I just finished the section between I77 and Mt Rogers Hdqtrs. Just a dusting of snow, but water conditions were very good.

This is a great section did this a few years ago SOBO and had a whiteout on greyson highlands that got me turned around .SOBO the blazes may be a little diificult to pick up if there is a lot of snow since they are not marked as well as they are NOBO. When you get to the Virginia creeper trail remember to turn right -the trail was not marked well at this point . Go to Dot's for a brew and a burger cant beat their burgers in my opinion

BLUE BLAZE SUGGESTION. Purists should stop reading now.
If the weather is bad, you can walk the VA Creeper trail on into town. The last section heading up on the ridge north of the road and VCT is quite nice to skip. Actually, the entire VCT is a nicer walk when you hit it.

It be dry and cold on the Iron Mtns. If need to get water, look further down the mountain if the springs look dry.
The Greyson Highlands was the best part of the southern half of the A.T.
