View Full Version : Watch with thermometer
I'm looking for a watch with a thermometer function. Does anyone have any recommendations?
I prefer a watch that's easy to set and operate (as these things go...). Doesn't have to have every doo-dad on the market. Time, date, stop watch and temp is plenty.
Thanks

Does it need to be able to factor wind chill??
I don’t normally use a watch, but what I do have that works great when outdoors is a zipper pull that also has a thermometer on it. I bought it years ago and have transferred it to new jackets or from a winter coat to a jacket. It works great and is always at hand where I can get a quick look. I also have a pin-on compass (1-inch diameter clear plastic ball) that I can get a quick direction from that saves me powering up the GPS.

I got my hubby the one SAC has all the time for sale, but for some reason the temp only reads his body temp. Not sure what's up with that
I think that most of those watches just measure your body temp. If you want a more accurate reading you have to take it off. I have had a couple of different ones, and they both did that.

Keep in mind any watch you get that has a temperature function will only be accurate if you remove it from your wrist. Your body temperature will throw the reading off.

(Just noticed I put this in the wrong forum - sorry about that)
I bought one of these a while back http://www.rei.com/REI-Outlet/product/757615 and I also have one of the zipper pull thermometers as well which is also nice.
I lost my trusty Timex Ironman this week and I've always wanted a watch with a built in thermometer. It never occurred to me that I'd have to take it off to get a temp reading.
Thanks
