As I'm too . . . ummm . . . challenged to start a poll, wondering what everyones thoughts are to the whereabouts of our trailfriend.
If I were bright enough the poll would look like this.
1) Sopping milk off keyboard
2) Turning Erwin into the world's largest hostel
3) Secretly planning a thru (through:p) hike
4) Skipping town
5) Starting her own site - MissJanetBlaze.net
6) Rocking in a corner with favorite Teddy Bear
7) Other - please specify
I didn't see the keyboard recover, although maybe she took someone's advice to pass it on to Matthewski because he's back...

I've got a material (stuff, not money) contribution I'd like to send her if she's going to have a hostel open this year. If she's not, though, it'd just get in the way, and it'd be better to send it to another hostel and/or wait til next year.

I am sorry that I have turned into a lurker here lately... I am sure a few have been happy not to hear my 2cents worth on a few things! I have just been exceptionally busy and very frustrated!! So, what have I been doing?? Well, sitting in the corner rocking my teddy bear, THAT, I am saving for when I completely go crazy! But, I have been busy...
I am working on the house... long slow and expensive process. Today was great with some appreciated help from Whiteblaze 's Morning Glory and 6 of his wonderful friends who came and helped on some projects. THANK YOU!!! Finally I can see the light at the end of this tunnel and I hope to have the house on the market by the end of the month.
I have spent many, many hours working on a deal for a new location for my hostel and for the new ERWIN HIKING CENTER. The ideal location was made available for a long term lease several weeks ago. I have frantically been working to make it happen in time to host hikers by April.
Then, as things happen, out of the clear blue Saturday, Feb 2nd, sky, I was offered the chance to make an offer to purchase this property! I am still reeling from the sudden possibilities!! Now all I have to do is win the lottery tonight or find some serious investors!
Now I will go back and sand floors for another couple of hours... and dream of legit ways to raise capitol...

Miss Janet, I know this is probably a ridiculous question but what is the name of your hostel? I'm very interested in staying in 09 (if you haven't changed locations) and just want to know the name. I'm actually listening to a trailcast interview from 06 of you and Baltimore Jack right now :)

I am working on a new location here in Erwin for the hostel to move to. I should know for sure in a week or so. It may be called the Erwin Hiking Center... but it will still be "MISS JANET"S HOUSE"!!
