Well, it is rated to minus 27 degrees. . . but it weighs 11 pounds! I think you could do better with an unheated model.

Not to be hijacking this thread but having a Thermacare
heat wrap(for your back) might be a lifesaver in an emergency.
Those things give off quite a bit of heat and are packable.
