I'm kinda concerned that I don't see alot of "Little People" Hiking, and I'm thinking that the AT, might be a bit too long for midget hikers. I'm thinking of some type of handicap (like in bowling or golf) that would be appropriate for midget hikers (little legs and all....)... I'm also thinking about something that would summit at the Doyle. "The Midget Appellacian Long Distance Hiking Assocaition" And the motto would be "Give a Little Guy a Break".
I see some marketable positions here. Afterall, were talking super-ultralight :).

I passed a gal going SOBO in VA who was a midget and having the time of her life. So happy and carefree. But she said she did have problems with the blowdowns. She was great to meet and she gave me inspiration as I was plodding along to Pearisburg.

Hmmm... can I can a handicap for hiking with a bum leg? Does the blind attorney that will hike in 2008 get a hadicap? Do men get a handicap for being guys? :D

oddly enough, in '03 i came across a nobo little person in maine; and then a few months later, i saw someone summit their thru flip flop at the doyle.
unfortunately they were entirely unrelated events.

In 2005 I saw Beetlejuice box another midget named Todd at a bar in Newport, Delaware. Todd took a dive. It was bull.
Still, I'd vote him president of MALDA. I like his politics.
