Figures

I bought a G4 kit from Quest Outfitters and in came today. I have next to nada experience with a sewing machine but I'm getting the hang of it. Right now I'm cutting out the patterns, and it looks like this whole thing will be a time consuming and fun project. My hiking friend (trail name: "scroungy") bought and sewed his G4 a couple weeks ago and it looks great! That inspired me to get one. I figured if a 13 year old could do it then a 15 year old could, lol.
I've done a little research and aparently the G4 kit is pretty popular. Anybody out there sewn one before? Got any tips and advice? Any help would be great.
Tomorrow I'm bringing the instructions to school so I'll read it while I have nothing better to do. It looks quite tricky but I reckon I'll get a handle on it and do just fine. (I hope...)
