I saw this on TV the other day. Looks like the perfect tool for clearing trail. I need to see if I can find one on Ebay.

i missed that episode.
it can be done with an m60. long ago we were doing cold weather training at pickle meadows in the sierra nevadas. a blizzard had ended training and some arcane rule said we couldnt return opened ammo. so the gunny asked for volunteers to go shoot all the ammo out. i always volunteered for anything so me and l/cpl wood were put out in the snow with 4 or 5 m60's and a buttload of ammo. gunny put aomd targets out and told us not to shoot the trees...then went back to the tents. we chopped up all the targets within minutes and of course, disregarding orders, started in on one pine in a methodical manner. we chopped it down. took a while but we did it. your tax dollars at work.

I'm sure both of those trees were carrying unlicensed, concealed weapons.
I've never seen it but based on this YouTube clip alone I'm going to add "MythBusters to the growing list of reasons I haven't really turned on a TV in several years.

The tree on the left killed my sister's uncle's cousin's best friend's roommate. My extended family and friends were glad to finally see that tree get what it had coming.
