Shortly before Xmas someone started a thread on WhiteBlaze asking what users wanted for Xmas. I replied. I would just like to have a working soda can stove. My wish came true when Brian a user here on WhiteBlaze sent me one. I am not trying to take toe glory away from anyone that sels stoves and I am not saying Brians's is the best. I am just writing this review on his stove. That is not saying his is the best.

As stated above I received a soda can stove from one of our WhiteBlaze users (Brian) shortly after Xmas. It was as surprise Xmas present. I had asked for one for Xmas and brian pulled through for me. I had tried on three occasions myself to make one with little success. They worked but just did not build up pressure enough to heat water.
Well after looking at this one, it looked no different then the ones I had tried to build. So I was skeptical. But brian makes these and sells them on eBay. So I had faith in this him.
I was anxious to try it out. I filled it to just above the curve in the bottom of the stove and lit the center of the stove. Wa-la within seconds the stove was shooting pressure out the sides that resembled a propane stove. I was impressed.
My next step was to try boiling water. I did not get a pot stand with the stove and do not have one. But I was really anxious to see how well this worked. So I held the pot with enough water in it to make roman and held the pot about one inch above the stove and watched the clock. I had water starting to boil within about four minutes. I was very impressed.
Since this first test I have made a homemade pot stand and used a windscreen and tried the same test and was able to have water starting to boil in about three minutes. I am looking forward to spring so I can drop the weight of my whisperlite stove and carry this one. The soda can stove is 0.3 ounces. I am very impressed.
Here is a picture of brains work on eBay. I did not get the three piece set in this picture. I only got the stove in the picture that has more holes in it.

• very small and easy to store

As I stated above I am not endorcing Brian's stove. It is just a review on the Soda can stove.

Good looking stove concept, from that E-Bay foto!

It has finally convinced me to take a look at another cooking option other than my trusty 'ole Trangia. I really never wanted to get hooked making the darned things, like some have

Anyway, just who is Brian, the builder of the stove, if someone wants to purchase one?

You failed to include that with your review
