Frolicking Dinosaurs 02-25-2008, 23:15 Hungry Howie quilt directions (http://www.backpacking.net/makegear/make-down-quilt/index.html) Frolicking Dinosaurs 02-25-2008, 23:18 Also recommend reading Just Jeff's method of stuffing down (http://www.tothewoods.net/StuffingDown.html) hammock engineer 02-26-2008, 00:23 Here is the link to directions I made up for a rectangular hammock top or underquilt. If you are not making an enclosed footbox and sealing it with a drawstring, add a good 8 or 10 inches to the total length more than you are tall. I did not and closed up it only goes to my neck. In terms of patterns mine is just a giant rectangle. You could combine that with the pattern for the hungry howie. http://www.tothewoods.net/RedRiverGorgeQuilt/RedRiverGorgeQuilt.html Frolicking Dinosaurs 02-26-2008, 07:20 Sweet quilt, Nate. Did you use that on last year's SOBO thru? hammock engineer 02-26-2008, 09:00 thanks and Yup. worked great. I used it inside my sleeping bag when it got really cold. |
