This tent appeals to me...could any owners, or people knowable about this tent, share the advantages/disadvanges or share your feelings about this tent, to help me decide?
The Refuge is a new tent. I don't think it's been on the market long enough to have been tested in many conditions. The design looks good. Being a single walled tent, ventilation is key to minimizing condensation. The tent has big vents and they are at the peak, the best place to exhaust warm, rising, moist air. The vestibules look good, too.
Being a single walled tent, expect to experience higher levels of visable condensation than a double walled tent. Also expect to inadvertently touch the dampness sometimes. It's a tradeoff for weight savings. Wiping down the interior with a pack towel or bandanna is a regular regimen for single walled (and some double walled) tent owners.
The tent looks as if it can handle winds from all directions, which I like as well.
I like any tent with the vestibule on the long side - more area and usually more headroom than an end vestibule.
