Yea it amazes me that people can plan for years, hike through conditions that would leave most people in tears, change clothes in front of total strangers, ford freezing rivers, fall repeatedly on their a** in the mud, go weeks without bathing, come here and arhue themeritsofhiking poles and still have zero sense of humor.

Well I was going to leave it in this forum, but technically it had nothing to do with hiking and did belong in the Humor forum in Non-AT subscription area. So I decided to leave it unless someone complained, which is why it got moved... someone complained.

Unfortunatly Im deadly serious.

Try hiking for 8 months with no real income.

The main problem was with November and December.

It killed my meager budget as I had to stay in hotels or die on way too many occasions.

Nebraska and Colorado had record cold and snow in the areas I JUST happened to be hiking in.

Much like West VA and Ohio and all of the ADT in the East had record heat and draught--drought??? well, you know what I mean.

its the curse of having anything to do with the AT in 2003. Your damned to bad weather no matter where you hike from that year forward.:D
