I contacted the state of New Hampshire and they said that there are moose but that the moose are endangered. They are going to save the moose but that it will cost $25,000 per moose.:D
Saw a beautiful bull moose on top of Woodford Mountain in VT a couple weeks ago, couldn't get the camera out of the case in time to get a shot :(...

and there's no woodsy either! i know cause i went to maine and looked and there was no woodsy.

I never saw one hiking and I biked around Cape Bretton, a moose Mecca, and never saw one ! have to conclude no such thing.
