These guys get totally blown out in the hundred mile wilderness. But it seems at first like they are starting at Abol, then they are at Monson(?), then they turn around, I guess, when they get to Barren Mountain, and come back to Big Wilson, but they don't even film where they turned around. . . then they are at Monson parking area again. Anyway, I find it amusing that these guys think they are going to do this one hundred miles in three days and end up quitting halfway through the second day, by the looks of it, before they even get to the top of Barren Mountain. And they claim to be at 21 miles in, but are at Big Wilson stream, which would be around 10 or 11 miles or so? I can't make heads or tails of it.

Tried to watch it, pretty amateurish video.
I got dizzy from the shaky camera and couldn't finish it.
Liked the music at the 1/3 point.
Anybody can put (almost) anything on youtube.

Blisters? Oh, the agony! Those poor boys. I was sure they were going to need an air-lift to get out of there.

planning 30 mile days can seem pretty easy from the comfort of your own home, especially when you've never gone backpacking before.

We did that before our first trip, planned a few back to back 25 mile days and even a 30 mile day w/ out even sniffing the trail

Credit to the boys for getting out in the woods but it looks like they'll be a bit more prepared the next time w/ the knowledge that track miles are not trail miles

It's funny that when he says "when we reached this sign, we realized that our failure was complete", but doesn't mention that the sign says "don't underestimate, etc.", or at least it did last I knew.

It also doesn't really look like Big Wilson to me that they are at, unless they are upstream from where you usually cross, or the water is very low level when they are there. I'm guessing they went upstream where it's narrower? Not a good strategy for fording a stream.

If we didn't have any time to waste, we'd stay away from Whiteblaze and do something productive.
