NOC and Bad Weather

HI i hear that the climb is hard now the climb don't worry me their are road around around where i live that rivl any of the hill on the AT. SOme of the road where i live have a 8 12 pitch. any back to NOC i am talking abound you leave gone north if their is a bad storm do you just wait it out or is their a bad weather blue blaze trail to go around the climb.

Just like any other part of the AT... there are shelters, and if you scrounge you can almost always find a place to pitch a tent. There are 3 shelters between NOC and Fontana (not counting the one in Fontana.)
