Well, just finished buying a bunch of new gear online this morning. I think I went a little overboard with buying new gear for 2008 but it's only money right?? :-? I really like the craftsmanship and products that Ron Bell offers so I sent some of my money his way. I'm broke again for awhile though!!
On the way from Mountain Laurel Designs:
Climashield XP Quilt - 3 season model w/ 5 oz/yd fill, Momentum fabric, and eVENT head and foot strips
Prophet Pack with a belt pocket
Soul Bivy - Side zip with Momentum top, 2.0 Sil bottom, and eVENT foot box, long and wide options as well.
Pro Bear Bag System - Yeah, I could of made my own but this seems like a nice package
Very anxious for the gear to arrive and already have a local overnighter planned to play with the stuff. :banana

Everything needed to hang food via the PCT hanging method:
Pro Bear Bag System
Bag: 1.4oz / 42gms
Line: 1.2oz /36gms - 50 / 16m
Rock Sack: .15oz / 4gms
SuperFly Biner: .1oz / 3gms
Total Weight: 2.85oz
FEATURES
Large enough for a LOT of food. A Thru Hikers Dream System.
Sack: 13.5 X 24 Silnylon 2.0 : 40dX40D ripstop nylon with a heavy Silicone impregnation. Super tough and thick enough to help keep odors inside. Built to last a long long time. Only .3oz heavier than a sack made from thinner 1.35 Silnylon. Much tougher and more oder proof than any 70d PU coated nylon. The slick silicone inside and outside fabric surface does not absorb odors like a single sided PU coated fabric.
Roll top design for a totally waterproof seal vs. a standard stuffsack with the cinched top exposed to the rain. Roll top design also seals in odors far better than a stuffsack. Top uses three mini snaps to close and then it rolls down and secures with a buckle. (Note: We are not claiming it is 100% odor proof, but common sense says its pretty good especially compared to a lighter material style stuff sack.)
50 SuperGlide Line. 2mm Hi Vis coated spectra line. 975lb test! We even give you 50 instead of the more common 40 of line offered with other bear bag systems. If you need less, cut it shorter and save weight.... This special line has a smooth acrylic coating specifically designed to glide over limbs and limit potential for damage to the tree. It also throws and glides through branches very easy and make the whole bear bag experience worry free. The lines weave is soft and it flattens some as it glides over the branch. This is the lightest Eco bear bag line we could find. (Note the line color is part of the coating. Over time any line coating can wear off. This line uses a soft coating to protect trees and will eventually wear but the line will remain 100% intact and still work well.)

Definitely. I am anxious to see the quilt. Ron Bell just emailed me a couple hours ago to say it will be 6 weeks before my order ships. Not a big deal for me though as I'm not in a hurry and really not that long considering it's the busy season and this is all handmade stuff.
