Starting to plan a hang and I am thinking of parking at Hogpen Gap and am unable to find suitable information of the safety of the parking, etc...

I've parked there many times with no issues.

Parked there once, no issues, however for longer time, I'd park in the parking area just north of Neel's Gap. Something like 5 trail miles to HogPen, stop in at Mountain Crossings adn the first climb out (nobo) has some great views.

I am planning on 4 days!

Hogpen has a large paking lot . it is located on the Richard Russell Hwy. It is regularly patrol by State Troopers. No worries.:D
