How do you deal with not knowing how much water you've got left? I've got a catalyst and stick the bladder in last inside of the top of the pack. I can get a vague idea by rocking the pack but always worry about running out so carry extra water. Have tried carrying it on the side outside but unbalances the pack. Same thing sticking it on the back of the pack. Any kind of neat light weight bag for the top of the pack? Any ideas? Freezing is not a problem as I use a Packa so the tubing is inside and does not freeze.

TIA

If you come up with something, let me know. I just kept mine in an outer pocket and would look at it at breaks. One thing that I did that helped a lot, especially when water was scarse, was to keep 1 liter in a seperate bottle. That way when my bladder ran dry I still had 1 liter left, which usually got me to the next source.
