wow, i go away for awhile and your toenails fall off!!. mine took a few months before i considered them "acceptable".

I can handle blisters on the bottoms of the feet.....but ones under the toenails. This is a first for me. I may have to convince bearjen that hiking a week from now may have to be put on hold so my toes can heal a bit. I already took the new socks that caused the most damage back and got 2 more pairs of my favorites for this summer. :D

i had custom boots made this year hoping to not have feet that looked like bacon. i carried them thru the 100 mile then mailed them home in monson and have been wearing tevas ever since abol bridge. (i did over half the long trail last year this way) best thing for toes is to be free. i wear them with socks, dance over the mud, and put on neoprene socks and gaiters if its raining.

I'm looking at getting a couple of pairs of the new wool toe socks. I met a guy on the trail last week who was hiking in them and it was cool. he had no blisters or other problems....even when his feet got wet from all the rain. REI has them on their website.

Them Moose Goosers

by

How about Them Moose Goosers,
Ain't they recluse?
Up in them boondocks,
Goosin' them moose.

Goosin' them huge moose,
Goosin' them tiny,
Goosin' them meadow-moose
In they hiney.

Look at Them Moose Goosers,
Ain't they dumb?
Some use an umbrella,
Some use a thumb.

Them obtuse Moose Goosers,
Sneakin' through the woods,
Pokin' them snoozy moose
In they goods.

How to be a Moose Gooser?

If you have tickets you had better go. Robert Plant was in town a week or so ago and came into the clothing store where my daughter works. Musicians are not a rare thing to see in Nashville and my daughter's been around them all her life. Her Mom works as a hairstylist and make-up artist with a bunch of the celebrities, she went to Peter Frampton's house with her Mom. She said that seeing Robert Plant just froze her, and everyone else in the store till he started being so nice that everyone loosened up.

I think it is so great that these kids are into Zepplin, Pink Floyd, etc. They were making music almost 40 years ago. Now that's standing the test of time.

If thats the proof, then Dr. Evil really does exists, and Tim Allen is Santa Claus, and that shaggy dog next door is a Luck Dragon

http://www.worth1000.com/web/media/3516/falkor_smiling.gif

But seriously, I hope not. I don't think I could do with all the sappiness. Flighty biochemically induced love, maybe, but real love that lasts for the ages, no, those chemicals only last about 2 years, and then the true testament of finding out whether you really like the person begins.

Loving someone is enjoying them, and yearning for them when they are away.

Taken on July 12. Got it from the Matthewski thread.

The other two are Matthewski and Johnny Thunder, I think.

That is/was exactly my problem. I LOVE good blues (Otis, Muddy Waters, Johnny Winters, etc.) but sometimes it can get such a hold on me.
