Mount Rogers Outfitters, or any of the other places that run shuttles should be able to set you up for a nominal fee.

I think the Place allows free parking for section hikers.

It's been a few years so not sure if the rules of "The Place" have changed, but I parked my car there for about three weeks with no problems.

Lone Wolf:
If I can swing it financially, I'd like to make Trail Days this year. Is the parking offer open to all? Your place could end up being a parking lot!
I'd be there Sat. and Sun. only.

Two years ago I did a section hike ending in Damaskas. I inquired at the police station where I could leave my car for five days. They told me to park on Water St., next to the basketball court. They said that they patrol this area and keep an eye on cars parked there.

Don't leave your car at the park. There is a 2 hr limit at the green. And the courts at street corner have been known for occasional vandalism and theft.

MRO is usually the best overnighter.

Then some of the shops along the Creeper won't mind if you park for the day as long as you ask.

Is there a enforced limit at Food City?

a 2 hour limit is NOT enforced at the park.

MRO will not be available for parking during Trail Days

the basketball court parking is patrolled. no incidents in a long while
