Ride from Charlotte to Troutdale area w/e b4 T/Ds?

I am trying to put together a short bp into T/Ds from north of the trail. Charlotte NC is a cheap option for me to fly into from Maine, but the next step to the Trail, not so easy. Anyone heading that direction the Sat before T/Ds, May 10th or so? Or anyone know of public transport options from there to Troutdale area?

OR.... is anyone driving down from New England that weekend before and could just drop me off I-81 somewhere in that area. I can possibly arrange a ride back north after T/Ds, but anyone I know at this point isn't driving down til mid-week.
