I know it's impossible to predict, but I'll be starting at Springer mid-May, hiking nobo for a week, and wonder if anyone has info on the night temps at this time. I know I'll be warm enough...just curious.
Thanks

This past Sunday morning it was 39*F at day break on Springer, if that helps any, which I don't guess it does.
I would personally be prepared for 40*F, but that's just me.

Never been there that late, but I would imagine it would be nice. However, always be prepared for cold weather; last year I ran into some really unseasonably cold weather south of Damascus during mid-May - you never know in the mountains.

The summit of Big Hump is always cold, even in summer.

thanks everyone...i have a 15 degree down...may end up being too hot at night and sleeping on top of my bag, but I do like to be warm so it'll probably be just right.
