Smokestack and I are off to Harpers Ferry. Starting north from there on Wednesday.

This is a greeting to my very supportive WB lurking sister-in-law, Ticky.

Hope to see many WBers along the way.

Met you at the Southern Ruck at NOC this year. Really enjoyed that stuff you made for a "sweet tooth". Hiked some with Smokestack last year. Sure was sorry to hear about his foot. Y'all have a good time and stay safe. Hope you will be at Trail Days.

Are you bringing any of your homemade chocolate-covered mint patties? To give them out, kinda like reverse trail magic?:D

Have a good hike.

Saw Mother Nature & Smokestack with Stump Knocker in Atkins Wed 5/07.

All 3 seemed to have pulses & were breathing on their own :D

I just spoke with Mother Nature & Smokestack at Ensign Cowall Shelter. Her boots were giving her a little trouble, but they seem to be doing great.

If their weather is anything like it is here 80 miles west, they're getting lots of rain.

Having a BALL! I never dreamed that I could get in my weekly swimming routine at the same time as walking. My word has it rained!

Seriously I have a great shot of a confused pair of ducks. Mr. Mallard and Mrs Mallard were drifting along in a long stretch of trail.. I guess they thought it was a new water interstate. About split a gut when I came up on them cruising the trail.

Feet are better despite the swampfoot from the rain.

Met up with Kirby and Cookie at Tumbling Run shelter. Great to see him again.

Smokstack and I are heading home for a brief stop.

He has jury duty in the latter part of June and the heat has been oppressive over the past few days.

HA! First we had cold and wet, which I prefer over hot and humid.. then overnight we get hit with a blastfurnace humid week.

Having a great time! All parts still moving forward and functioning well. One toe is objecting to the hike but the other nine told it to get over it.

It is good to hear from you. It was also nice to meet your hiking club a couple of weeks ago from Neels to Cowrock. They're all excited about your journey.

Jury duty? Is that more important than hiking? Maybe the judge will understand. LOL

I ran into Mother Nature on Friday (June 20) at Blue Ridge Gap, GA. They were getting some trail maintenance in while they were home - hoping to straighten out the jury duty issue and head back up to PA to continue their hike by Wednesday I believe.

What great people!

Yeah for Mother Nature and all the trail maintainers. The trail was in great condition.
