Anyone have any good links to weather at places along the BRP? I'm going to be biking it (pulling a trailer) in two weeks...hoping not to freeze on the LONG downhills.
thanks

My husband and I live in Asheville, and bike the parkway all the time. It's always cold on Pisgah, and it's always colder than you think it will be everywhere else.
Be sure and have a headlight.
Be sure and stop at the Pisgah Inn. Great food.

We're riding the whole BRP, not skyline drive thru SNP. We start at the bottom on SNP and end at Cherokee NC ...400 something miles, backpacking by bike
That sounds amazing! We have traveled the BRP several times, including Skyline. We did one trip in June and it was pretty chilly. We didn't bike it, but we stoped along the way to camp. Peaks of Otter was cold and rainy and so was Craggy Garden area. We realized that June can still be very cool in the high elevations.
Hope you guys have a great time! :)

Enjoy your trip. You'll see lots of flowering bushes - flame azalea, laurel, and rhododendron. Are you taking the side road to Mt. Mitchell?
