A group of hikers and I are planning a long day hike on the Rogers Ridge Trail to the knob with the Tri-State Corners (TN/VA/NC). The plan is to do an in-and-out from Gentry Creek area. We thought that hiking out using the farming road to Whitetop would be too far to shuttle. And we are not sure of the parking situation at the Whitetop end. But one of my books has an unofficial route from the Tri-Corners to Bearpen Ridge/Buckeye Hollow Road coming out near Green Cove Station.
Any of you Damascusans or Rogers Ridge/Tri-Corner hikers ever tried this route?
