I think they have recently elected him in as the new sheriff.
Never heard of "Mt Rogers Hostel" is it also known as Dave's Place and across the street from MRO? Stayed there several days in 05...before I moved up to the Hike Inn and finally Montgomery B&B... while waiting for my husband to meet me.
