Hello,
First time post. My family (me, wife, and 8 yr old daughter) has taken up hiking the AT ion weekends. We started at Springer about 4 weeks ago, and have progressed to Hightower Gap. On July 5, we'd like to park at Coopers Gap, and catch a shuttle back to our car from Woody Gap - can anyone recommend a service or person that could do this? Thanks in advance. This looks like a very informative board - we are really pumped about getting thru GA by end of 2008!

I have used Tom at Appalachian Adventures (http://appadvco.homestead.com/) on two occasions. One was a late afternoon, foot problem had to get off the trail call and he was very accomidating.

Hiker hostel will charge about $25 for the shuttle, I believe.

Coming from Canton probably a lot less hassle to drive 2 cars and self shuttle. Thats what I'd do.

I've been section hiking for many years and have always walked back to my car, not away from it. And have been flexible on NB or SB hikes depending on logistically where was the best place to park. You may find this arrangement more convenient to you and your shuttle service. Just my 2 cents. Have a great hike!
