Moose Hunting Tips - What to do After the Kill?
Moose meat is excellent and should be treated with care and respect. The hunter's pride in bagging his moose should not stop after the kill, but continue through to the excellent steaks and roasts he or she can serve to guests as they listen spellbound to the tale of the hunt.
"As I shot it in my back yard, frolicking under the sprinkler..."

coooooooooool...............................;)
Jan--I sent the link to Elena. She says she wants a baby moose. Although her HOA prohibits having more than a total of 50 lbs. of pets, she thinks she can get an exception. Alas, I think the full-grown moose would use up the pet allotment for the whole condo complex.
Lone Wolf 08-01-2008, 05:43 Are moose good eating?
damn good! one time at shaw's we ate it. none of the hikers knew. they thought they were eatin' beef. i knew though and later asked keith and he just laughed and said he'd hit it one night in his truck while winking

Back in Rhody, my buddy's girlfriend's (at the time) family came from Quebec.
Nicole's mother was (still is, I assume) an awesome cook.
Nicole's Dad would go to Quebec every year and moose hunt.
The only meat served in household was pretty much moose. Smelled damn good...
oldfivetango 08-01-2008, 14:54 I note that Mama Moose was scarred up pretty bad.
It's got to be a tough life.They can't call 911.
