I've done a few day hikes on the AT and side trails (mostly 5-7 miles) and I was looking to take it to the next level with an overnight trip or a weekend trip. Any good loops you guys know? I have the official trail maps for NJ and NY. Thanks

While I have not done much hiking in NY, I have done some in NJ. I have always liked walking from Bear Mt. NY to Wawayanda shelter then the next day walking to Pochuck shelter for a second night. There is a road right past the shelter to get picked up if you decide not to stay the second night.
Just a word of caution I walked this section of trail last month and it was very dry, so if you decide to give it a shot bring some extra H2o.

I don't have my maps on hand but the Pinnacle area of Pennsylvania should have plenty of trails to explore, especially with Hawk Mountain and everything. As the guy above me said, be aware of a lack of water in the area.
