I had a very difficult time setting up my ENO hammock and tarp in the wind. It was like a big wind sail. Also when I was sleeping the wind was blowing under the tarp making it extremely cold. Any solutions?

I'll give my take on it but if you want even more info check out www.hammockforum.net you will ge tons of info from this site.
I have a diffrent type of hammock but the reason many use an underquilt is to stop the heat loss through the bottom of the hammock. Just like with Hypothearmia wind adds to heat loss. I use an inflatable pad under me and my bag in my hammock and that helps a lot. As for the wind, well the good side is if its stong enough you will be rocked to sleep all night:banana bad news is if its even stronger an e trees really get to swaying you may get motion sick :(. The way that I pack mine away when I open the stuff sack the first thing I get is one of the main ropes. I tie this off then unpack the rest. The hammock and the tarp are connect on mine and so it all comes out as one and I can have it tied off pretty quick.
I have a Clark North American and it has storage pockets under it. these pockets are also used to create an area of dead air which acts as an insulator this way I don't have to mess with under-quilts etc. you can check out how this is to work on their web site if you want.

Location, location, location..... the first rule on the ground or in the air is to pick a sheltered site....It will go a long way to solving wind problems when pitching.
