I call them Daddy Longlegs.

I don't know why they love nylon so much. Sometimes in the morning I look up and see dozens of the little buggers all over my Tarptent, sillhouetted against the silnylon.
One of the many reasons I prefer a fully-enclosed space to a tarp.
Zip up the tent and spray around both sides of the zipper with Permethrin, it works great. Don’t be afraid to use a lot of it. It doesn’t effect the waterproofing.
a buddy of mine told me that they have the strongest venom of all spiders but their teeth can't penetrate our skin. heheh
I also saw that on TV. Another good reason to not be thin skinned.:p

They are harmless arachnids, not spiders. They do not have venom.
