Anyone been on it recently? How's the water situation? Planning on hiking back to Damasus then back up via the Creeper and AT starting Thursday.

There was good water at the Cherry Tree Shelter the last week in july and just a small trickle at Sandy Flats Shelter. We hiked from Grayson highlands to Damascus via the IMT and back up the Creeper Trail and AT. The water at Lost Mountain Shelter wasn't very good. There is a very good spring at Whitetop.
