Water - Hot Springs to Devils Gap

I'm planning a hike from Hot Springs to Devils Gap early next month (October). It has been drying up again in Raleigh, but it looks even drier up there. Has anyone been in that section recently that can tell me about the water situation?

It has been raining off and on with short, but strong storms. There has been so low water reports at Little Laurel and Jerry Cabin. You can usually find better sources on the Bad Weather routes on Camp Creek/Firescald. Flint Mountain is running pretty well from what I hear. Allen Gap has Paint Creek which has a large flow (collect further up stream away from the road).
