It's a long shot, but I lost my camera on August 18th '08 between Madison Hut and Pinkham Notch in the White Mountains in New Hampshire. It was a Panasonic digital camera but it was in a black KODAK case. It had pictures from just outside Kent, CT., through Mass. and Vermont and New Hampshire.

You might try sending your message to the AMC @ Pinkham Notch. They get lots of "found" items every summer.

I once turned a camera in to AMC Pinkham and it was recovered by the owner. I even got a reward. He sent me a mini tripod as a thank you.

I found a camera in the 100 wilderness on Aug 6. I'm not sure if it works because of the rain. I'm trying to get it back to it's rightful owner.
