I would love to do it in 2008. Heck I would love to do it next year. But the funding for doing it is not there. As I said before in one of my post. I have to save up 6 to 7 months of mortgage payments and all the insurance bills that will be due while I am gone. Then on top of that have money to do the thru-hike. Also quiting my job at 50 years old is damn scary. I am wonding if anyone will hire a 50 year old when I get done my thru-hike. Well anyways I am putting away $200 a month now for the next 5 years. That should give me plenty to do this.
