Anyone out there into fast-packing? i am looking for some fast packing, long run partners in the Northern VA/Md area who are interested in getting out on the AT to cover those quick and light miles.

fredmuggs and I plan to hike the james river to pearisburg starting october 10. we will be "fastpacking."

I should have said more clearly you are welcome to hike with us for a day or three or the whole thing. We are planning to stay at peaks of otter campground for the first three days and use it as base camp.
