Kennebec crossing

FYI-

Saw some info on water releases on the Dead River which dumps into the Kennebec above the crossing. Do not know if it is current and/or accurate.

Planned release 9/13 3500cfs 6AM. 10/3 or 10/4, full open, 6000cfs, 6AM.

Maybe someone can get better info.

The Oct. releases are the annual draw down for Flagstaff Lake , making room for fall rains.
Its one heck of a whitewater run @ 6000 cfs, 16 miles of almost continuous rapids up to class 4.
pretty that time of year too.

People sholud also be aware that there are periodic water releases on the river that are not announced ahead of time.
