Where exactly is the trail head on the 19E side of Roan Mtn? How do I arrange a shuttle? Where are the alternate parking areas?

Mountain Harbor B&B and Hostel. .3 west of the trailhead offers shuttles and parking. www.mountainharbour.net

mountain harbour for sure. dont park anywhere else. this area is known for vandalism.

Question answered. Only park at Mountain Harbour.

From 19E to USFS 293 @ Bitter End, parking is not advised. Mountain Harbour offers parking for $5 a day, or $2 when shuttling (1 day notice). (866) 772-9494.

Let me add that we had a terrific experience at Mtn Harbour last month. They shuttled us to Carver Gap for a nice overnight hike, then we spent the second night in their B&B, in a king size suite with a 2-person Jacuzzi. What a nice way to end a hike. Breakfast the next morning was terrific, too.
Mtn Harbour built a hostel in their barn, too. Very nice spot, with a deck, several bunks, and a separate king bed for couples. The B&B prices are, well, B&B prices, while the hostel is $15 per night plus $7 for breakfast if you like. (Well worth it IMO.) For a section-hiking couple, the B&B is a nice place to unwind after a hike.
I'm doing Carver's Gap to 19E this weekend. If you're going then, maybe split a shuttle?

Afriend and I are doing this Hike this weekend. Will get in Fri night and get a shuttle Sat. morning up to Carver's. We could possibly split the cost?
