Interesting presentation from the newspaper website w/ the video. Kid seems to complain a lot though. Bugs, rain, rocks, wahh.

The video is very well done...high quality.
He seems very matter of fact about his whole hike, probably pretty realistic of many people out there that just keep trudging on even if they aren't having a great deal of fun.

It's just a video of him talking with a few pics thrown in, don't see what's so high quality about it. Notice how they focus in on his hands, what's up with that? I see a lot of that nowadays in commercials, news reports... Why do I want to look at someone's hands...
Read the newspaper article this morning while on break at my place of employment. The article was well done, but nothing extraordinary.
I'll watch the video later to see what all the whining is about, both yours and his. You know you can count on me for an opinion, but I try not to be harsh when it comes to local hikers. I've never met him, but that doesn't matter.

Yeah that sentence struck me as very odd.

Maybe you're right, but certainly he must have some good memories from his trip! Sounds like the only good part for him was finishing.

Personally, I enjoyed following Adam's hike on Reading Eagle's website.
The website had a nice map to track his progress, a brief recap of each section,
a short slideshow of the sights seen on that section, and a link to Adam's trail journal.
They also did a good job of adding in a variety of AT facts researched from the ATC, trail maintenance clubs, etc.
All very well done, I thought!

it's a state law here in TN that we have to have car insurance....
