Another close call: Hikerhead and I are heading north from US-321 outside Hampton to Damascus for the weekend, then I'll flip-flop and head south from US-321 to Erwin, finishing Friday, 10/31 if all goes well. Of course, it's supposed to rain all weekend, with snow showers on Tuesday!
