Anytime we can have public property converted into parkland, especially with trails included, is a good thing. Far too much urban development has impacted on our state in the last forty to fifty years. We are just beginning to see some of the problems associated with the widespread "progress," such as the widespread clamor over our Black Bears and deer in urban areas, as a result. Let's hope the parks and trails are established in perpetuity for all residents so we never have to worry about them again!
