I hear there's a pretty famous trail that goes through the area.
Could be just a rumor though.
The border is at Hanover, NH. What sort of transportation are you looking for? Bus?

I interpret your somewhat cryptic message to mean you are looking for a way to go southbound on the AT starting at the NH-VT border. If that is correct -- and furthermore you are looking for public transportation, Vermont Transit (now part of Greyhound) has a depot in White River Junction and there are several buses each day from New York and Boston. Also, Amtrak has a depot in White River Junction and there is one train a day from New York.
In either case, it is a short cab ride from White River Jct to a point where the AT crosses the Connecticut River into Vermont.
At one time, some of those buses made a stop in Hanover. From that stop, it is a short walk to the AT.
