This guy needed a vacation. Makes one wonder about probation.

I'd keep an eye on this guy when he gets out of jail, he won't be "rehabilitated". It's only a matter of time before someone ends up dead, hope it's him with a bullet in the head.

He's the type that will probably write his initials on the wall of his cell:D
Those are our cells, we pay for them with our tax dollars:rolleyes:
Clearly he is a scumbag though.
I remember this event with the hiker and wondered whatever happened with this creep.
Looks like he will finally get the time he deserves, but probably not enough. People like this are a menace to society as he has proven, and they should just throw the key away!
His testimony is laughable and proves hes a con.
thanks for posting this follow up.
He won't be bothering anyone for awhile.

Convicts believe if you write your name in a cell you will be back to read it. It's bad luck.
As for this guy 2 in the head and throw him in the dumpster.

Most dangerous spot on any trail is within a mile of any trailhead, these guys are too lazy to walk anywhere near that much. Hopefully he will try that with the wrong person someday and solve the problem.

The guy seems to have made some bad choices for a career path. Perhaps with enough time in jail he can study up on how to do honest white-collar crime. Again, if he spends enough time in jail he might learn some better dating techniques. OR He will be recognized as a career criminal and do life in prison on the installment plan, unless he escalates to murder.

Looks like he was on his way to rape. The only thing that stopped it was the woman fighting back. Time will tell how he ends up. His choice.

Oh, I think he'll be okay -- providing he can get that penchant for vandalism under control.:-?
I wish these pieces of #$%^ would try me instead of people weaker than him. I'm pretty sure he wouldn't do it again!
The inmates will take good care of him.:D

his part of the story is impossible anyway ... if he was falling back I could see grabbing the steering wheel ... but not with most of my weight falling back and still turning it the OTHER way .... not going to happen so he messed himself up with testimony anyway, lol.

He needs to be taken for a hike into a swamp in June and tied "neek'd" to a tree during blackfly/mosquito season....

And more importantly, should his prior history be admissable in court?
She ran over his shoelace for Pete's sake!He was just trying to help a

Guilty! I went to school with this guy, once upon a time. He lived in St Albans and was a trouble maker back then and evidently hasn’t changed much. Throw the book at him! I’m tired of living among a bunch of people who obviously have no regard for the law and other people.

Is this considered prose?

If you are suggesting that past posts dealing with carrying had a lot of people claiming that "only NRA troglodytes pack pistols, how they are never needed on the trail, and only stupid, self-centered people carry." you have a vivid imagination.
For that matter, your suggestion that a weapon would have easily resolved this case, is also a bit far fetched. To be useful it would have had to have been on the seat next to the victim, in plain sight of her assailant. Though the guy obviously isn't terribly bright, I suspect his first move would have been to figure out a way to grab the gun.
