Click on Ice pillars brighten the sky over Berks County (http://www.readingeagle.com/article.aspx?id=114746) to read about a rare natural phenomenon which may have been visible from the AT had anyone been watching at the right time to see it.

I've done several Google image searches in hopes someone from Albany Township posted one or more images to the web. No luck yet. It must have been quite a sight to see given what was written.

You and me both. Had someone called me, I likely could have seen them!
It's the same when the aurora borealis visits Berks County. The next day I learn what I missed when I read The Reading Eagle. I saw them once when I picked up a tip here they were to be expected.
